Joe Hale

I just talked to Annette Hale and she said Joe's knee replacement surgery went very well yesterday.  He is in the Baylor Plano Hospital, Room 527, and is supposed to go home on Sunday.  Please pray for complete healing, with no complications.

I exalt you, O Lord, above the heavens and earth and all that is therein. Great are you Lord, and greatly to be praised!

Thank you, Lord, that Joe's knee surgery went well. Please continue healing the knee and make his transition to having a prosthetic joint smooth and easy. In Jesus' name, amen.

Donna Gutierrez

From Donna Gutierrez, who attends at the Farmers Branch Campus:
Please keep me and my kiddos in your prayers.  We just lost the best mother and grandmother in the world so very unexpectedly. Please pray God will wrap His arms around us at this time. Thanks so much. Our hearts are breaking.
Note:  Angie Pitts talked with Donna yesterday and learned that Donna and her kids were headed to the "hill country" where her mother lived, but they had no information yet regarding when her mother's funeral will be held.  We will pass that on when we receive it.

For you are God alone, there is no other. And your name is blessed!

Lord, when a loved one passes on, it is difficult for us not to lose ourselves in our grief. But when the death is unexpected, it is so much worse. Please wrap your arms around the Gutierrez family and comfort them in this time of grieving, and encourage and strengthen them through your word. In Jesus' name, amen.

Joseph Napoli, gone to be with the Lord 3/28/13

Pray for the Napoli family as Dan's father, Joseph, passed away yesterday. Arrangements are pending. Pray for comfort and the blessing of peace during this difficult time.

Thank you, O mighty One, for the privilege to come before you in prayer. Thank you for your Holy Spirit, who helps me when I pray.

Although we rejoice in a brother's going to be with you — at last! to see you face to face!— nevertheless, those left behind still grieve his passing. Father, please, according to your will, comfort and bless the Napoli family, and especially Dan, as they face these first days and weeks, months and years without the beloved father and grandfather (son and husband). Encourage and strengthen them, in Jesus' name, amen.

Joel Antunez

Please pray for the new grandson of Christy Black, Joel Andre Antunez, who was born on March 19th with some health issues, including Spina Bifida and fluid build up in his brain.  The doctors did surgery on his spine 3/20/13, which went well, and are doing surgery today regarding the fluid build up in his brain.  Please pray Joel's surgery today will also go well, with no complications, and pray for peace and comfort for his parents, Christy & Hector Antunez.  Also pray for Christy (Black) as she is trying to care for their other three children, and continue to work, while Joel is in the hospital.

Your steadfast love reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness reaches to the clouds; your righteousness is like majestic mountains and your wisdom like the depths of the sea—and you come to me!

Because I know that I am not too small for your notice, I know this newborn babe is also in your sight. Lord, he has begun life with some very serious defects, and today doctors are attempting to relieve the fluid on his brain. Please guide the hands of the surgeons and keep little Joel safe. Bring him through this ordeal and be with him as he heals. His parents must be beside themselves with worry; I pray that they can trust you and rest in that trust. I ask you to give the children's grandmother, Christy, stamina, endurance, kindness, and patience for the task of taking care of Joel's siblings while the parents remain at his bedside. Use this ordeal to glorify your name, Lord, and receive the worship our trust in you offers. In Jesus' name, amen.

Harold Sheppard

Harold Sheppard, younger brother of Nadine Burchfield, Uncle of Kevin Burchfield, is hospitalized at Denison, TX, with a severe attack of appendicitis.   Doctors are observing him to make sure everything is under control.
Prayers are requested.

Glory and honor and power are yours, for only you are God.

Thank you, Lord, that Harold was taken to the hospital before death from appendicitis could occur. Thank you that there are doctors watching over him and preparing to do what is necessary to save his life. Please give the doctors wisdom as they formulate a plan, and give Harold's family faith to see this through as they hold firmly to your hand. In Jesus' name, amen.

Hilda Dass

Please lift up Hilda Dass, older sister of Vijay Masih & aunt to Neelesh and Vandana. Hilda, who lives in Garland,Texas, with her husband David, has battled numerous health issues resulting in repeated & extended stays at the hospital for years. We don't have many details at this time, but doctors have given up hope and are giving her medications to help her be as comfortable as possible. Family is coming into town to be with her right now. Hilda & David have 3 children: Cecil, Ajay, & Neena. Cecil (and family) & Neena also live here in Dallas and have spent months taking care of her. Ajay just flew in from Australia. They are exhausted and dealing with a lot emotionally. Please pray for their strength right now.
Please lift up all our families at this time as we wait and pray. Thank you

Faithful is who you are. Merciful is who you are. You are full of grace. Amen!

Lord, here is the second case of doctors losing hope! Yet we know that until you remove the spirit, death cannot enter the body. I pray for hope and healing for Hilda, and for peace, encouragement, and strength for the families who love her so much. Let them hope in you, Lord! In Jesus' name, amen.

Debbie Bartlett

Our daughter, Debbie Bartlett, has a friend who is deathly ill and has been in ICU for several weeks.  He has an 8 year old and a 12 year old.  Today (Thursday, 3/21/13) he is worse and they are going to operate to try to stop internal bleeding, but the doctors are not giving much hope at all.  His name is Jeff. Please pray for Debbie, for Jeff and his children, and his ex-wife.

Great and Mighty are you, Lord! Your steadfastness extends to the heavens and your wisdom to the depths of the sea. Glory!

Lord, it is for your wisdom that I come to you today. Jeff is so sick, and he has two children who love him. Although estranged from his wife, she, too, is affected by this situation. Yesterday the doctors were going to try to stop some internal bleeding, and yet they don't hold out much hope for Jeff's recovery. I pray that the surgery performed yesterday helped and that things are looking more hopeful. Yet you, in your wisdom, have ordained days for each of us, and for all I know, Jeff has lived his life out. Perhaps it is time for him to go. If so, Lord, I pray that the children and all who are impacted by this man's life / death will be comforted and encouraged. Please give them strength to hold onto hope, ever after Jeff passes. In Jesus' name, amen.

Ashley Walters

Please pray for a lady I work with, Sharmon Walters, and her family. Their daughter, Ashley, was shot in the head by her ex boyfriend last night. She is currently on life support. If she makes it through the day, she is expected to live but will be paralyzed (her spinal cord was severed).

Great and Mighty Lord of heaven and earth, hear my plea!

Ashley is looking at a completely different life, if she makes it at all, and I can't imagine what is going through her parents' minds right now. I ask you, Lord, to heal her spinal cord and give her full life. Please be with her family and the family of the young man who shot her as well, as this horrendous act will affect more than just the Walters family. If it be your will to call her home, Lord, then please give her loved ones peace and comfort. I thank you and glorify your holy name! In Jesus' name, amen.

Pam Schulte

Paula Fulton's sister, Pam Schulte, was run over by a car early this morning in Waco. Pam is in surgery now. The outlook is not good. Pray for the Lord's healing and protection over Pam and her husband Mike.
Ken and Paula are driving to Waco and will update when possible.

My Father, who is in heaven, your name is to be greatly praised!

Despite the bad report, Lord, you can heal Pam. You can mend her body so that she can continue to live. I am asking you, Lord, according to your will and not mine. Your will be done, and I pray that your will is to heal her. If not, then please give Paula, Ken, and their whole family comfort and courage as they traverse this wilderness! In Jesus name, amen.

Kristi Moore

I want to update you regarding the progress my niece, Kristi Moore, has made this week.  Your prayers are being heard and answered.  Although the doctors still say this type of cancer in her spinal fluid is "incurable", we know that with God all things are possible and we (our whole family) are standing on His promises!
She has had a radiation treatment each day this week on the brain tumor which seems to have eased the pressure in her brain. Once the doctors were able to get her pain meds on the right schedule, Kristi has been somewhat stabilized, is feeling much better, and is able to function more normally. She was able to spend some time Tuesday and Wednesday with their children.  Lots of pictures were taken and the little boys loved rolling Mom around in her wheelchair. She was also able to make some phone calls and text friends and family the past couple of days.  Chad (her husband) said yesterday she was even able to walk (with the aid of her walker) down the hall to the elevator and walk outside to the hospital patio for some sunshine.  This was a major improvement.
Chad and Kristi had asked for, and have now received, a referral to the  M. D. Anderson cancer center in Houston for a second opinion.  They hope to get an appointment in the next week or so.
Thank you so much for praying for Kristi and her family.  As my sister, Cheryl, keeps saying, "Let's keep shouting her name into the gates of Heaven and praising God for His answers!"

All praise and glory to you, O God, King of the universe!

Please continue healing Kristi, dear Lord, so that her cancer will be gone and she will be a witness to the doctors and staff. Thank you for the good report thus far. In Jesus' name, amen.

 Dear Friends and Family,
I'm sorry I haven't written soon about this very serious time in our lives.  But the last week has been pretty overwhelming.
Most of you remember that our daughter-in-law, Kristi, has been battling breast cancer since last Easter.  Our son, Chad and our whole family has been on this roller-coaster journey together as we stand fast in the Lord through the hills and valleys.
To being you up to speed, around Christmas time Kristi was pronounced "in remission" as the final scan showed no signs of cancer.  She was feeling good, her hair had begun to grow back and it was wonderful seeing Kristi full of life again.
About 3-4 weeks ago the doctors wanted her to undergo outpatient surgery to remove her ovaries.  Since her type of cancer was estrogen driven, they wanted to be rid of anything producing estrogen.  Then they put her on a powerful estrogen suppressor that had many possible side effects.  But Kristi experienced none of them for about 3 weeks.  Then she began to have deep bone pain (one of the side effects) about 2 weeks ago that was excruciating.  She stopped the medication in hopes of stopping the pain.  Then she began to have severe headaches that made her throw up and cloud her vision.
I think it was last Tuesday she went for an MRI on her head/brain.  Wednesday morning the call came that there was a small tumor in her brain and they suspected cancer there.  Chad & Kristi came immediately to our house for prayer and to help them process.  While here she had a terrible attack and we called 911.  She has been in the hospital since then.
The doctors decided to take a spinal fluid sample to check it for other possibilities.  The sample was red instead of being clear and there were cancer cells in the fluid.  That was not the report we wanted to hear as this is very serious.  The doctors think that the fluid surrounding her brain is putting pressure on the brain that has caused tiny capillaries to break, thus the blood in the fluid.
Long story short, please pray with us for a miracle, for God to touch Kristi with his divine healing.  Pray for our son, Chad, and their four children ages 15, 13, 10 & 6.  Pray for us and for Kristi's family.  We are praying only LIFE into Kristi and standing on God's promises.

God Eternal, Maker of Heaven and Earth, glory, honor, and power are yours and yours alone, for there is no other God but you. I praise your holy name!

Lord, here is Kristi, a sister in the Lord with a husband and four children. They have been believing for healing from breast cancer, and so it seemed that she would be home free from that awful disease. And then came a even more devastating diagnosis, that her brain and her spinal fluid are infected with this killer. We know that only you can heal, and without you, no healing is possible, for you hold everything together by the word of your power. Lord, let your mighty word speak on behalf of Kristi, and let it restore her to health. In Jesus' name, amen.

I am again asking for your prayers for my niece, Kristi Moore, who is now being treated for brain cancer after being "cured" of breast cancer at the end of 2012.
Her brain cancer is being treated with heavy doses of steroids which keeps the brain inflammation under control.  However, a side effect is that the steriods can weaken both gastric and intentinal linings making them susceptible to ulcers and tears.  She had been doing well until yesterday when she began having stomach pain.  She was admitted to the hospital early this morning and a CT scan on her abdomen found signs of air and fluid indicating either a perforated ulcer or torn bowel.  Either one would be quite serious for obvious infection issues plus the pain. In a healthy person the doctors would treat with antibiotics for 2-3 days and let the body heal itself.  However the essential steriod treatments prevents the body from healing these kinds of wounds.  At first they planned to do emerency surgery to close the hole, but after conferring with several doctors, including her occologist, it was decided to go ahead and postpone the surgery until tomorrow to see if the body starts to heal itself. She is on three antibiotics plus an antacid and will have another CT scan tomorrow morning to see if the leak is still evident or if it appears to have closed.
In her husband, Chad's, words, "I think you know what to pray for...a holy inspired, whole closing of the hole!  Pray also against the spirit of despair and pray for Hope. Kristi is handling this with amazing aplomb and pluck.  The Father has given her peace.  Yes! Pray for a spirit of faith and life to permeate her room.  Father, we speak life, your life into Kristi's body.  Not just for a closing of the hole, but for a closing off of all disease in her body.  We rest in the finished work of Jesus to make all things new."

Lord, I join my prayers with Chad's, asking you for total healing for Kristi. I know that you heal, Lord. I know that you love Kristi. I'm asking you, please, to close up the hole that is causing her such pain and further endangering her health. Lord, as always, I pray that your will be done. In Jesus' name, amen.

Kelly Woods

My Dad and family are in need of big prayers ! My Dad has been in the hospital over the last 2 weeks - last week due to poor circulation in his legs (due to dialysis and a poor worn out body) he had to have part of his left leg amputated. We are meeting with the doctor today because it is not healing well and they will possibly have to remove more. The remaining leg / foot is having trouble due to an infection and the same circulation issues and they are possibly suggesting amputating that one too! We know God is big and wiser than our prayers - so I am asking for lots of prayers for healing ... Peace ... And God's hand on my Dad.. The Drs .. and my precious worn out mom and my family. Thank you !

The sun and the moon, the stars in the heavens and all of creation, visible and invisible, will praise your name!

Lord, how tragic that this poor man should lose his leg from this infection and poor circulation, and now must face the possibility of further amputation! Please heal him, if it is your will, and if not, Lord, please give him faith, courage, and comfort. Encourage his wife and family as they watch this man they so love undergo such drastic measures! In Jesus' name, amen.

Preston Messer

Please continue to pray for healing for Preston Messer who was burned over 40% of his body. I visited with his mother, Cindy, and asked how we could pray for them.  She indicated that Kaleb, age 9, Preston's son, was their big concern right now. He won't leave his "Nana's" side.  Pray for peace, comfort, and less anxiety for Kaleb and all the family.  A private room has been set up for the family down the hall on the 6th floor where Cindy, Kaleb and friends and family can visit and wait for their turn to see Preston in the burn center.

God of compassion, healer almighty, hear my prayer!

Thank you for the hospital's understanding and compassion in giving the family a private place to be. Please be with Kaleb and comfort him. Thank you that his Nana is there to put her arm around her grandson and tell him that everything will be okay. Please heal Preston! In Jesus' name, amen.

Tom & Cindy Messer, members at VR, have a son PRESTON MESSER, 30 yrs old, who was severely burned over 40% of his body.  I think the accident happened last Monday.  Preston is in Parkland Hospital.  Cindy, his mother, is with him, and she can be found in the waiting room on the 6th floor, at Parkland. Tom has returned to an out-of-town construction project which demands his attention.
Please keep Preston and his family in your prayers.

Great and mighty God, maker of heaven and earth, hear my prayer!

I cannot imagine seeing my own son in such terrible pain, not to mention that he will be scarred for life. I pray for Preston, for healing and relief from pain, for endurance, and for encouragement. Please lift him up from his sickbed and make him again whole.

I  pray for Cindy and especially for Tom (who must needs be away) and join their prayers as they pray for their son. Comfort Cindy, dear Lord, and give Tom peace. It must be harder than I can imagine to be away from his loved ones at this time. In Jesus' name, amen.
