Charlie Bird

 1. Charlie Bird is having surgery today at the Baylor Plano Hospital for heart value issues. Please pray for wisdom for his doctors and complete healing for Charlie.
 Lord, you alone are worthy of praise. You alone are God, there is no other. Glory and power and honor and praise are your due. Praise your holy name!

Charlie is undergoing surgery for heart valve issues. He is in your hand, mighty God, and I ask you to guide the surgeons and the after-care staff, and that you completely heal him. I know that no healing, complete or partial, will occur without your will. Thy will be done!

Matt; Julius Washington

Matt, the young man who worked with Julius Washington, passed away yesterday after suffering a massive heart attack.  Julius is very shaken, as he was the first to respond after Matt collapsed, and was with him until he was taken by ambulance to the hospital.  This has been a devastating loss to Julius, and the boys he and Matt care for.  Please keep Matt's family, Julius, and these boys in your prayers.

Lord of lights, shine on me!

I'm so confused, Lord. My prayer was so far astray from where it needed to be! It disheartens me to know that I prayed so far from what was needed. So now I ask you to comfort Julius and heal his heart, and I pray for the boys he and Matt cared for. Let something good come of this, something that Julius can see and that he can pass on to the boys. In Jesus' name, amen.


Please pray for Matt, a co-worker of Julius Washington, who collapsed while playing basketball today at the youth home in Greenville where they both work.  Matt was unresponsive, and had coughed up a significant amount of blood.  He has been rushed to the hospital.  Please also pray for Julius, who was the first person to respond to the situation, and is quite shaken

You are high and lifted up, and your train fills the temple! The people cry "Holy! Holy is the Lord!"

Lord I pray for Matt, Julius' coworker. It sounds quite serious, with coughing up blood and collapsing. I ask you for healing, that Matt can be helped and cured. And I pray for Julius, who is quite shaken from being the first person to respond. Give him peace and comfort, and help him know that his response might make the difference between life and death for his friend. In Jesus' name, amen.

Cindy Powers

The Branch family member, Cindy Powers, was taken to the ER last night for similar symptoms to the last two strokes that she had. 
She is in Medical Center Plano, Room 308. They are doing tests and evaluating at this time.
 Please pray for Cindy and for the family, James the caregiver.

Grace and peace come from you, O Father, my God and my King!

I lift Cindy before you, Lord, and ask in Jesus' name for you to heal her. She doesn't need another stroke, Lord! Please work your healing over her, into her, and around her. Let your Holy Spirit complete the work of perfection in her body, and give her peace and mercy. Thank you, Lord, in Jesus' name, amen.

Tripp Stormer

Tripp's surgery went well and he was released this morning. They will be in town at a nearby hotel all of this week. Please contact me if you'd like to visit or take a meal. Thank you for praying. To God be all the glory! Amen!


Please pray for the Stormer family who will be here from my home town in Arkansas this week. Their baby boy, Tripp, is going to have urological surgery at Dallas Children's this Friday morning 2/22 but they will be here for 3-4 days.
I know they would also appreciate quick visits if you feel called to do so. Having your child go through something like this is a lot but being out of town adds to the stress of it all. Having a spiritual family around them and circling them with prayer would be a blessing.
Tripp was born very prematurely and has had several medical issues already in his short life. God has been faithful already as you can see in the photos below and we trust Him to carry them through this as well. I know many from our church can relate and can truly feel this with them. I feel blessed to be a part of a church who reaches out to those in need.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and don't forbid them, for the kingdom is made of such as these." I know you love Tripp and want his best.

I pray for this family and Tripp as they undergo a stressful time in an unfamiliar place surrounded by unfamiliar faces. I pray that they would feel immense love all around them and the peace that passes all understanding coming from you. I ask you for a successful surgery, and that Tripp's life will not be filled with medical problems. In Jesus' name, amen.

Angela Kelly

Please pray for Angela Kelly who attends The Branch.  She has been in the hospital (Plano Presbyterian) for tests to determine the cause of her internal bleeding and may be released tomorrow.  Please pray the test results will clearly tell the doctors exactly what is wrong and what needs to be done to correct it.
Pray for peace and comfort for Anglea as she awaits the test results and also pray for her whole family because her brother, age 19, died yesterday from cancer.  We do not yet know his name or funeral arrangements but will pass that on when we find out.

I lift my hands unto you, O God, maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. Praise and glory, honor and power unto you and you alone. Hallelujah!

This is a two-fold prayer, Lord, because this sister, your beloved, has problems that arise from a bleeding problem and grief at losing her 19 year old brother to cancer. How terrible is this time in her life! She may be afraid of the diagnosis the doctors may give her, her fear increased from the untimely death of her brother from such a useless and cruel disease. Give her peace, Lord, as she awaits the doctors' results and comfort her and her family as they release the boy into your arms. In Jesus' name, amen.

Jill Watkins

Praise be to you, the only God and King!

I pray for Jill this morning and ask you, Lord, to give her relief from pain. Help her to endure, keep her from rash decisions and give her peace. Help Clarke to cope with what his wife is going through, and give him faith. In Jesus' name, amen.



Lord, you are higher than any other, you are seated on the throne and your train fills the temple! You said that if Jesus was lifted up he would draw all men unto him. Glory to you, Jehova Rafah, the God who heals.

Jill is in excruciating pain from the cancer in her jaw. She is at the end of her endurance, and Clarke is also wearing down. I pray first for healing, then for successful treatment, then for  respite. Please give all concerned with her care wisdom and patience, and bring peace to her and to Clarke. Bless Jane as she takes care of her sister. In Jesus' name, amen.


Jill Watkins was taken back to M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston yesterday for further testing to determine additional treatment options. Please pray for Jill to have relief from the pain she has been suffering and for her doctors to have clarity as to what future treatments would be best for Jill.

Glory and honor and  power and  praise, majesty and kingship and all authority is given unto Jesus, and by his stripes we are healed!

Lord, please guide the doctors and the nursing staff that will be taking care of Jill at M.D. Anderson Hospital. Lead them to ways to lessen the incredible pain that Jill is in. Give them knowledge about treatment for her to get through and over this. Give Jill life, Lord, full and glorious and without pain! Help Clarke get through this, drawing closer to you and leaning on you when he cannot understand how any of this could be your will in Jill's life. I know that you have not caused her suffering, but will use it to her advantage and to Clarke's if they will let you. I pray that they do, in Jesus' name, amen.

Michael Gilmer

I just visited with Michael and they received the results of his latest biopsy.  It is a malignant growth in tissue and bone in his leg and it seems to be connected to the same cancer as his colon cancer came from.  Michael will be undergoing chemo and radiation as a first step, so surgery is not imminent.  The chemo treatments will be on Fridays. 

Please keep MIchael and Tarita and their family in your prayers.  Also, if you have a moment, you can drop Michael a text or give him a call at (469) 323-0349.  In the past, knowing people are thinking of him and praying for him gave Michael a jolt when he needed it.

Kindness and Goodness are found in you, and all others can only reflect what you are. Thank you, Lord, that you made the moon to reflect the light of the sun, and for making us to reflect the light of the Son.

Lord, would you please help Michael and Tarita as they learn to deal with this awful disease and give them hope and peace as they undergo treatment? I pray that the chemo and radiation that he will need will do what it is designed to do and will completely eradicate the cancer. I pray that you will be with Tarita as she watches from the sidelines, supporting and tending to her husband. Give them both faith to see this through. In Jesus' name, amen.

Valerie Haigood and Chrystal Lawrence

My wife, Valerie, had successful spinal fusion surgery yesterday and is doing well.  She is already up and walking a little and her pain is greatly reduced.  She will probably go home from the hospital tomorrow.  Please pray for quick healing and total relief from pain.

Great and Mighty are you Lord our God! You are high and lifted up! Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that you are God! Thank you for the good report!

I lift Valerie before you and ask for your grace to be extended to her through the healing process. Would you shorten the time her healing takes, please Lord?

Please also pray for my wife's sister, Chrystal Lawrence.  She is in surgery this afternoon for uterine cancer.  Pleae pray the doctors get it all and that she has quick healing.

Dear Lord, I can't think of many things more frightening than cancer, because your own body attacks you, running rampant and amok and claiming more and more territory with each passing hour. I pray that Chrystal's surgery was successful, that all the cancer was caught and removed, and that she heals quickly. Please keep this awful disease from returning! In Jesus' name, amen.

Ky Fehlbaum

Please pray for  our son, Ky, who is supposed to have double jaw surgery next month to resolve his TMJ issues.  After meeting with the surgeon, everyone in the family has some doubts about whether it will be wise to go through with surgery, but the decision will be Ky's, of course.  The problem is that the bone saw the surgeon needs for a major part of the procedure is half broken.
The surgeon plans to go ahead with the surgery regardless, unless his instrument breaks permanently and irreparably.  Pray that if Ky should draw back from this scheduled surgery, God will give him the wisdom to do so, and that if he feels a peace about going ahead as planned, all will truly go well.  As you say, God is faithful!

Greater than you are, Lord, is not possible. You are the source of all things, and there is none before you. In your hand lie all the future and the present. Glory be to you!

Lord, I pray for Ky. I pray that he knows what he should do, concerning this upcoming surgery. Please give him wisdom, and should he decide to go through with it, please guide the surgeon's hands, keep the tool intact, and heal Ky. Thank you, Lord, in Jesus' name, amen.

Beka Hull's dad

I got a call from my family and, thankfully, his shoulder is only fractured. They reset it, got it in a proper sling, and as long as it starts healing on its own, he won’t even need surgery. So thankful it wasn’t worse.
Thank you everyone for your prayers and please keep praying as he heals. My dad, Gary, isn’t a “take it easy” sort of man.

My dad called me this moring from the ER in a lot of pain.  This morning as he was leaving the house, he tripped outside, fell, and hit their car.  They think his shoulder might be broken or separated. Please pray they figure out what is wrong and find a solution.

What is man, that you are mindful of him? For what reason do you turn your grace and mercy toward us and grant us peace? It is because of your great love; love that sacrificed his own son that we might find our way to you.

Beka's dad is in a lot of pain this morning, from a fall where he hit the car and hurt his shoulder. The doctors didn't know whether it was broken or separated, but to you, it is nothing. A small matter to heal this man; and because you are mindful of man, I pray that this small matter is taking your attention. You never take your eyes off those who love you. In Jesus' name, amen.

Dustin Starks

 Tracie Starks' son, Dustin, who recently suffered severe spine and head injuries in a fall, is scheduled to have surgery on his spine tomorrow.  Pray that all goes well.

Gracious Lord of Hosts, I praise your name for the mighty things you have done. You made the world, named the stars and placed each one in its position. By the word of your power all things hold together!

Please come to the aid of Dustin, who needs you so much at this time. His head and spine are severely compromised, and tomorrow he goes in for surgery on his spine. Would you heal him and comfort his family and give him courage as he goes through this ordeal? In Jesus' name, amen.

Genny Calvert

Please pray for my mom, Genny Calvert, who is in the hospital in Tampa, Florida. Her and my father were visiting Florida College, where they worked for 15 years as dorm parents, and on Monday my mom suffered a light stroke. Once they stabalized her and got her blood pressure under control they released her from the hospital yesterday. This morning she was rushed by ambulance to the hospital with severe chest pains. They've not yet identified exactly what has happened but seem to have gotten it under control for now and have been running tests all day. They are preparing her for a possible heart cath tomorrow. I am flying out early this morning to be with her, my dad and my sister.

She and my dad are in their mid 70's and have lived very active lifestyles in service to the Lord. After her stroke she told me that, prior to leaving Montgomery, she'd had a sense that she needed to get things in order for some reason.

Please pray for complete healing and many more healthy years of life.

Praise be to you, O Lord, who gives and takes away. Thank you for your steadfast care and love, mercy and grace that you shower down upon those who love you. Glory to the King!

Genny is sick, God. She has suffered a minor stroke and perhaps some heart damage as well, which may require a catheter. Only you know the outcome, Lord, and only you can heal her. I pray that your will for her is to return to good health and that she may add many more healthy, productive years to her life. Please calm Steve and other members of her family, and cause them to turn to you in hope and trust. In Jesus' name, amen.

DOYLE GATLIN

Doyle Gatlin, brother of Glen Gatlin, has passed away.  We extend our prayers and deepest sympathy to Glen and all the family.

God of power and majesty, you are exalted! Glory to you in the highest!

Let the ones who loved Doyle rejoice in his homecoming, and let them be glad that you are in control. Only you know the days you have ordained for us, and I'm grateful to know that Doyle's passing was not beyond your notice. Comfort those who grieve, and give them peace. In Jesus' name, amen.


We just received a text message from Nancy Gatlin, Glen’s wife, that DOYLE GATLIN, Glen’s brother, who has been in a coma for over two weeks at BAYLOR GRAPEVINE, is evidently passing away.
Please keep Doyle’s wife, Glen, Nancy and all the family in your prayers.

Glory and honor and power belong only to you, most high God! I thank you, Lord, that your will is made known to us. Thank you that Doyle will enter into his rest and behold your face very soon now.

Though we rejoice in his homecoming, those left behind will grieve his passing for their own sakes and for the sakes of those who loved him. Please comfort them and give them peace, in Jesus' name, amen.

Nancy Gatlin called with an urgent prayer request for Glen’s brother, W. Doyle Gatlin.

Doyle seemed to be recovering from recent open-heart surgery, but has had a relapse and has been rushed to the Baylor Grapevine Hospital.

We don’t know any details about his condition.  He is in the ER and will likely be transferred to ICU.

Please pray for quick resolution to this complication from surgery and for total healing for Doyle.

My Father in heaven, your name is exalted on high! Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven!

Lord, I do pray that your will is done in Doyle. Please, would you totally heal him from this complication brought on (seemingly) by his open heart surgery? I know that you CAN heal him; I pray that it is your will to do so. In Jesus' name, amen.
