- Richard Seymour is still at Medical City Hospital in room 562. Shirley said this morning that he did not have a very good day on Sunday. The fluid started building up again in his lungs and around his heart causing breathing issues and he had to be put back on oxygen. As a result, the surgery scheduled for yesterday to put a "port" in his arm to facilitate his dialysis was postponed. Shirley also said she has still not heard back from Richard's insurance regarding moving him to a rehab facility. However, the hospital doctor told Shirley yesterday that they would not release him to rehab at this point anyway until his condition improves. She said he still enjoys short visits, but he may not be able to talk very much.
- Dear Lord, Richard's last several years have been hard ones, and he's due some respite. Would you please heal him so that he can go back home and sit in his chair and watch the squirrels? Please cause that fluid around his lungs and heart to resorb, and get him stable enough for the port to be inserted. Of course, I really want you to heal him totally, so that he can enjoy the rest of his life (may it be long) in relative comfort. Give him opportunities to be a blessing for others... I know that gladdens his heart.
- Herb Watson said this morning that Viki may be able to go home later today or tomorrow. She is still in Denton Regional Hospital in room 524. They have removed the tube from her lungs so that made her feel better.
- Lord, my friend and sister in faith Viki is sick, too. I know she was having trouble breathing, but I don't know what the problem is. I am so glad that you do, and that you know what she needs. If it is more useful for me to have that information when I pray, please ask someone who knows what is going on to call me so I can more effectively pray. Please heal her, Lord. She is a kind and gentle soul. But I ask for her healing that you might be glorified.
- Bobbie Boaz is still in the Dallas Medical Center Hospital in room 503, but she is doing a little better as she recovers from pneumonia and other health issues.
- I know I prayed for Bobbie yesterday, but my memory is so bad I don't remember what her needs are. You know, Lord, and so I ask your Holy Spirit to intervene on my behalf, praying for her in words too deep for my understanding. Heal her, my Father, I pray.
- Paul Barner had knee replacement surgery this morning at the Presbyterian Hospital on Walnut Hill. We just had a report that the surgery went well, but we don't dont have a room number for him yet.
- Thank you, God, that Paul's knee replacement surgery went well. It is to your glory that this occurred.
- I'm amazed at the world as our collective knowledge makes us more effective in more applications, yet I recognize that "knowledge shall increase" is a sign of the end of days. I thank you that you will not send your Son again before times, but will wait until the last Gentile believer is brought into the kingdom. Yet I look forward to that day with anticipation and excitement, knowing that I will forever be in your presence when it comes.
- Maranatha, Lord Jesus!
