Richard Seymour

2/22/13

I just talked with Shirley and she said Richard is "going home" today!  She was on her way to the rehab center to get the paperwork started and their son, Greg, will come and take Richard home once he is officially released.  She didn't know how long this process would take, but she said Richard is excited and can't wait to get home.
Please continue to pray for Richard's health and his ongoing dialysis treatments, and praise the Lord for His healing power.

Glory to you, O most high God! Thank you for this good report!

I pray for Richard and Shirley as they transition back into a "normal" life today, and ask that he have lots of days to sit and watch the squirrels, as he said he wanted to do. I pray that the ongoing treatment would not be too hard for his body to manage, and that if he is a candidate for a new kidney, that one would come available quickly. In Jesus' name, amen.

2/6/13

Richard was moved back to his rehab facility, Madison on Marsh, late yesterday afternoon.  He is back in Room 311 on the Jefferson Lane Hallway. Shirley said his blood pressure was up and he is feeling pretty good. Please pray that Richard's blood pressure and sugar levels stay "up" so he can complete his rehab and return home.
Praise to you, O God of healing! Thank you for restoring Richard's blood pressure and sugar levels to normal. Thank you that he can now be back in rehab. Please continue his healing and his rehab so that he can return home. In Jesus' name, amen.

2/1/13

Shirley called to let us know Richard's doctors have decided to keep him in the hospital at least until early next week.  They continue to have trouble regulating his blood pressure. Richard is at Medical City Hospital, Tower E, Room 658.
Lord of mercy and grace, I praise your name! In Jesus' name, I ask for healing for Richard. He has been an amazing blessing to all of us at church, and I know that he and Shirley are dear to your heart as well. Please bring his blood pressure under control and allow him to have whatever he needs to be well. Amen.

1/29/13

Richard was supposed to have a dialysis treatment yesterday morning, but when the ambulance arrived to transport him from the rehab center they discovered his blood pressure was very low so he was taken to Medical City Hospital instead.  I just talked to Shirley and she said his blood pressure was much better this morning but she does not know if he will be released from the hospital today or not.  He is currently in Room 688, Bldg. E, at Medical City.
Please pray his blood pressure will stablize and remain at a more normal level so he can return to Madison on Marsh and continue his rehabilitation.
Thank you, Lord, for watching over Richard. Thank you that the ambulance emts had the skills to recognize what Richard needed and to take the necessary steps. Please bring his blood pressure back in line and keep it there so he can continue his rehabilitation at Madison on Marsh. In Jesus' name, amen.

I talked to Shirley this afternoon and she said Richard is doing a little better. His pulmonary doctor told them his lungs looked pretty good and they had not heard that in quite a while.  They have also ordered him a new boot so he will be able to walk again.  The doctors told Shirley they hope to be able to move him to rehab later this week so she, and their son, Greg, were on their way to check out a rehab facility.
He can still have short visits, but they have changed his dialysis schedule to Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday so you may want to call before you go to make sure he will be available for a visit.
Lord, how I joyfully praise your holy name! Thank you for the good report on Richard

From Shirley Seymour this morning:
Richard was moved to the rehab facility on Saturday afternoon and will start therapy today.  He is in room 311 on the Jefferson Lane hallway.  Each hallway in the Madison on Marsh facility is named for former presidents. Please pray his rehab is successful and that he can eventually go home.

Lord, you are greatly to be praised! Be praised in the earth as you are in the heavenlies. Thank you for the good report about Richard. Bless him and Shirley this morning as they adjust to having him in a rehab facility. Thank you for your love and steadfastness. In Jesus' precious name, amen.
