Genny Calvert

Please pray for my mom, Genny Calvert, who is in the hospital in Tampa, Florida. Her and my father were visiting Florida College, where they worked for 15 years as dorm parents, and on Monday my mom suffered a light stroke. Once they stabalized her and got her blood pressure under control they released her from the hospital yesterday. This morning she was rushed by ambulance to the hospital with severe chest pains. They've not yet identified exactly what has happened but seem to have gotten it under control for now and have been running tests all day. They are preparing her for a possible heart cath tomorrow. I am flying out early this morning to be with her, my dad and my sister.

She and my dad are in their mid 70's and have lived very active lifestyles in service to the Lord. After her stroke she told me that, prior to leaving Montgomery, she'd had a sense that she needed to get things in order for some reason.

Please pray for complete healing and many more healthy years of life.

Praise be to you, O Lord, who gives and takes away. Thank you for your steadfast care and love, mercy and grace that you shower down upon those who love you. Glory to the King!

Genny is sick, God. She has suffered a minor stroke and perhaps some heart damage as well, which may require a catheter. Only you know the outcome, Lord, and only you can heal her. I pray that your will for her is to return to good health and that she may add many more healthy, productive years to her life. Please calm Steve and other members of her family, and cause them to turn to you in hope and trust. In Jesus' name, amen.
